Managing Development Teams

As a leader I managed 2 teams of 4-5 developers in the creation of 2 different websites for charity organizations using NodeJs and MongoDB. I guided development, delegated tasks, and communicated with our charities in order to meet their website's needs.

Workshops

I helped create and host 2 workshops for UC Davis students. In my Pusher workshop I worked with a Pusher developer to create an interactive, fun workshop on their products. My data structures workshop was given completely remotely due to Covid-19. It was apart of a 4 week bootcamp for UC Davis students wanting to refresh their CS skills.

Creating Curriculum

We collaborated with tech companies such as MongoDB to create curriculum for their products. I reviewed and edited this computer science based curriculum, headed weekly meetings with my developers, and ensured project completion by delegating weekly tasks. This involved extensive use of github and project organization skills.

Making my own resume website

This website you're looking at is the first full website that I've made by myself. I've learned a lot as I am mostly self-taught when it comes to HTML/CSS. I also used a little bit of Bootstrap to help with formatting (I'm coming to appreciate good documentation). I hope to keep updating this website and improving it as my skills increase.

Activism website template

Inspired by the BLM movement, I wanted a way for people with little or no coding experience to create a website for people who want to become educated and involved. With this React website template, any resources the creator wants to include (such as books, petitions, articles, and more) are easily organized into a user-friendly website. Each resource's information is simply inputed into the data files, and the code does the rest of the work.

C++ BattleShip

I worked on this as a part of a final for my first C++ class. This classic battleship game uses a lot of object oriented programming and is one of the biggest projects I've had to make for a class to this day. It has multiple game types such as player vs player, player vs AI, and AI vs AI, and there are multiple AI types. I hope to continue working on it as the completed project had a few bugs that I've always wanted to fix. If you want to play, download the files below!

My first app

This project is still in the works. I've been wanting to learn Swift for a while now, and as I learn I am developing an app! During quarantine I have found it hard to remember to excercise. Even exercise as simple as taking a walk outside. As I learn more about swift and APIs, I am making an app which will use the iPhone's health app data in order to track how many steps a person has walked everyday, and turn it into an incentivising game.
